2025 Spring fundraiser

Join us for lunch, bid for one of our fabulous prizes or buy a few raffle tickets for a little flutter. Any of those will help us meet our goals as one of 60 stations around the coastline of England & Wales where we work in concert with the vital network of search and rescue agencies.

We are all volunteers and we receive no government funding so we rely on people like you to help us keep our station open and thriving. In order to be part of the search and rescue fabric (holding what is called ‘Declared Facility Status’) we have to meet certain minimum standards in terms of the number of hours we operate, the expertise of our volunteers, and keeping our radio and navigation aids up to snuff. It all costs money – around £16,000 each year.

This annual fundraiser is a key component of our varied efforts to bring in that kind of cash each and every year. Can you help us? There are various ways to get involved – and you don’t just have to choose one!

Sunday Lunch - 13 April at Salcombe Yacht Club BOOK NOW (who can resist?)

The Fundraiser Lunch takes place at Salcombe Yacht Club on 13 April.  Tickets to our fundraiser lunch are always popular and sell out fast, so don’t delay!

Raffle - buy your tickets now

Our raffle is a really important part of the year’s fundraising and tickets are available now. You can purchase as many individual tickets as you like for £1 each or buy as many books as you like at £10 each. You can buy them from pretty much any of our watchkeepers, or you can buy them here. If you purchase any tickets from the website you will receive an email with the copy of your ticket(s). If you win we will email you right away, and if we don’t hear from you within a couple of days we will also attempt to phone you (as long as you leave your phone number when you check out. If we can’t get hold of you within a couple of weeks we will give your prize to someone else.

The success of the auction and raffle depends on the generosity of the many individuals and small local businesses who donate prizes. Some are splendiferous and wondrous, others are modest and humble but all prizes help us sell raffle tickets and attract bids to our auction.
