Where we are

The approach to the watchstation is from the A379 Kingsbridge – Dartmouth road. If you're travelling East from Kingsbridge, turn right in the centre of the village of Frogmore – and cross the bridge over the head of Frogmore Creek. As the map shows, South of the A379 there is a network of small lanes, but the route shown to East Prawle is well signposted. If you're travelling West from the Dartmouth direction, you will drive along beside Slapton Ley and soon afterwards reach the village of Stokenham. Turn left at the mini roundabout (Carehouse Cross) and as above, follow signs to the village of East Prawle.
When you arrive in East Prawle keep the village green on your left and continue down a no-through lane, which ends with a National Trust car park on the left. Now for a bit of exercise! Climb over the stile from the car park and continue downhill until you reach the SW Coast Path from where you can see the watchstation on the headland to your right – and the path leading to it.
After leaving the A379, allow 20 to 25 minutes to reach the car park and another 10 to walk up to the Watchstation.
