Our many visitors are kind enough to write in our Visitors' Book. We have had visitors from most parts of the UK and also from most European countries, such as France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Slovak Republic, Malta, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark and Finland. From further afield come visitors from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA and Russia. Our Slovak visitors said 'very useful, thanks from all skippers'.
Most are stunned by the view and many write how 'very interesting', 'informative' and 'fascinating' they find it. Several are kind enough to say that they think we are doing a good job and providing a worthwhile service. Here are some of the more unusual comments.
'Good to know you keep an eye on the sea.' 'Very knowledgeable people, very helpful. Fantastic insight into the area'. 'From Salcombe - so glad you are here.' From our younger visitors - 'Brill!', 'Cool view and equipment!', 'Totally wicked!' and from Alice aged 4 'I liked to see the ships.' after a look through one of our telescopes!
Finally from Ron Howel from the South West Maritime Archeaological Group - 'A first visit to our protectors of the very important shipwreck off Gara. In good hands.'
Some visitors come back again and again. In April 2006 Sophie and Andy from Bristol dropped in - they had just got engaged! In April 2007 they returned as a married couple. We hope to see them in the future with the next generation!
