The A379 Kingsbridge - Dartmouth road is the access route by road. If you're travelling east from Kingsbridge, the village of Frogmore is reached after about 3 miles. In the centre of the village turn right over the bridge across Frogmore Creek and follow the signs to the village of East Prawle. If you're travelling west from the Dartmouth side, you will drive along beside Slapton Ley and soon afterwards reach the village of Stokenham. Turn left at the mini roundabout and follow the signs to the village of East Prawle. |
The lookout seen from East Prawle |
When you arrive in East Prawle keep the village green on your left and continue down a no-through lane,
which ends with a National Trust car park on the left.
Now for a bit of exercise! Climb over the stile from the carpark and continue down hill towards the coast until you reach the Coastal Path from where you can see the lookout station on the headland to your right. Follow the Coastal Path up to the lookout station. Allow 20 - 25 minutes to reach the station from leaving the A379. |
